Dear Parents,
What a busy time these last few weeks have been. The outstanding Lower School musical performances have really made the season joyful. What a thrill it was watching Lovett win the State Championship football game last Saturday. The last time we were state football champions was 1970. Go Lions!
Please mark your calendars for several important events that are happening this week and in the beginning of January:
--Lower School Holiday Musical featuring second through fifth grade General Music classes: Wednesday, December 18, 7:00 pm, Hendrix-Chenault Theater
--Lower School Holiday NUD: Thursday, December 19
Wear your holiday colors. No shorts please.
--Last day of school for Lower School: Thursday, December 19
We will dismiss at the regular dismissal time.
--Return to school: Tuesday, January 7, 2014
--Founder's Day Chapel: Friday, January 10, 2014
This is a D-day. Chapel uniforms are required.
--Registration for Spring Afternoon Enrichment and Summer Camps opens Friday, January 10, 2014.
--E-Waste Drive: Week of January 13-17, 2014
Over the holiday, remember to plan ahead for your spring and summer schedules. Online registration for the Spring Afternoon Enrichment classes and for Summer Camps will open on Friday, January 10. Information about summer camps is available on the website.
We also encourage you to participate in the E-Waste Drive after the holidays. Lovett will be collecting electronic gadets from January 13 to 17. So, make way for your new technology this season by letting Lovett recycle the old. For more information and to see a list of items accepted and not accepted, click here.
It has been lovely to watch your children grow and flourish this year. They are such a joy. Thank you for entrusting your most precious gift into our care.
I hope you and your family have a very happy holiday and that 2014 is filled with bountiful blessings.
Warm regards,
Mary Baldwin
