Dear Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful Fall Break. We have a number of exciting things happening during the second half of October.
This Sunday, October 20, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, the Lovett International Alliance will host its 7th Annual WorldFest. This is a lovely way for you and your family to experience being a citizen of the world. There will be interactive games to play, snow cones and popcorn to snack on, a talent show to enjoy, and more. Bring a dish to share if you like. We hope to see you there. In honor of WorldFest, the Lower School will have an International NUD on Friday, October 18. Please have your child wear favorite Olympic colors or colors that represent a country.
Retakes for children who were absent on school portrait day will be on Friday, October 25. Please let your child’s teacher know if you would like a retake.
The annual Lower School Fall Festival will be Thursday, October 31. There will be a noon dismissal that day. Please read the attached letter below with more information on Fall Festival. Please remember, boys are required to wear long pants the day after Halloween, Friday, November 1.
It is time to register for the Lovett Youth Wrestling Program. You do not need any prior experience. If interested, go to the “After School Enrichment Program” home page to register.
Thanks for bringing in birthday treats for your child. Now that we are having the treats in the classroom, please remember to include plates, napkins, cake knives (and plastic forks or spoons, if needed).
As promised, we have created an on-line carpool system. It is important that you communicate any carpool changes by using this system instead of calling the Lower School office. In addition to the Lower School Administration, ASAP, and the LS Enrichment Program Coordinator will be able to view your changes. Teachers will receive notification of all changes before the end of each day. Instructions for using the on-line carpool system are below.
Warm regards,
Mary Baldwin
Lower School Principal
